performance

Everyday we perform our identity. Performance is the space where the ideas we have about ourselves find physicality and action, although we rarely have control of how its percieved. My performance work stems from a deep romanticism coupled with an effort to touch what is real. Notions of trust and intimacy carry a great weight of sentiment with them, and often rupture with the onset of real life. These projects seek out those rupture points, where the rubber meets the road as it were, or the space where the romance of an idea stands (or fails to stand) the light of day.
